Looking Glass

Through this looking glass this
is what I see
A terrified little girl staring back
at me
As I look a bit closer I see all the black
and blue marks
Broken and bruised I see this little
girl's eyes spark
She has just received a beating
from her mother
All she wants is for her to really
love her
She decides that this is the
last and final time
She took this last beating and
will now put it all behind
No longer will she leave me all
broken and bruised
No longer will hit me and throw
her high heeled shoes
No longer will she pull my hair and
rip my shirts
No longer will I show her my heart
and how much it hurts
I left that place and started
living in the real world
And no longer am I this broken
and bruised little girl

Tiny

We all knew her well even when she gets
a little too whinny
Her name is Carolyn Michelle Sheberekt
but we all called her Tiny
You knew never to mess with her when
she first wakes up
Before she eats her sugar and has had
at least her first coffee cup
I don't know if many of you knew this
but she had had AIDS
But it didn't matter we all loved her
just the same
10 years she dealt with this the best
that she can
And along the way she made quite a few
good friends
She could be hateful and mean mostly
to all the guys
But she did love all of us you could
see it in her eyes
She may have died but will always be in
our hearts smiling
And we will never forget this woman
forever known as Tiny
